    • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): learning how to counter negative thoughts with positive thoughts, and negative emotions with positive emotions
    • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): learning how to be mindful, tolerate pain, communicate one’s needs to their environment, and work towards positive emotions
    • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): a purely medicinal, as opposed to religious, form of meditation, which empowers and de-stresses the practitioner

    • Suicidality: the despairing state of seriously considering committing suicide
    • Distress: unhealthy stress
    • Eustress: healthy stress
    • Dysphoria: low mood
    • Euthymia: happy mood
    • Euphoria: being high
    • Mania: an intense high that can be triggered by, but is not itself, a drug high, that can last for weeks or longer
    • Hypomania: a less extreme form of mania

    • Paranoia: the state of being in great fear due to psyhcotic symptoms
    • Distortion: sensing something that really isn’t present, while knowing that it in fact does not really exist
    • Delusion: beleiving that something happened, or occured, which really did not
    • Hallucination: sensing the presence of something that does not exist
